I had the Tric Case for my 5th Ave for about 3 yrs and it gets very light use. Usually, just storage at home and occasionally put in the car to take to the cottage. About 1 yr in the plastic zipper closure on one side broke; completely shattered in my hand. Ok, there's two of them (it's a 2-way zipper). Then the pull tab broke off on the remaining zipper. Not good. I can still close the zipper but by pushing the closure along carefully. (it's to only way to close the case) Godin would not do anything about it. (it was out of warranty) I liked the case but they need to improve the zippers and hinges. What's wrong with good sturdy metal zippers? If it had this the case would be great.

I LOVE this guitar case/gig bag.... With one exception... the adjusters on the backpack straps.... But that was REALLY easy to fix and replace with decent fittings that made it MUCH easier to cinch down while wearing it. I have peddled my guitar on my back all over the place after making my own modifications I cannot recommend this case enough

I've owned many traditional cases but this one is my favorite. It's extremely light weight, sturdy design, handy carrying straps that allow the guitar to be carried backpack style and well insulated for the cold climates in northern Canada. I've owned the first one about 2 years with no reliability issues. Heading out to buy a second one for another guitar I own.

Similar in build to modern violin cases - formed foam blocks with fabric zip-close cover, canvas reinforcement strapping, back-pack style shoulder straps and velcro-closed carrying handle. Large music/patch chord zipper pocket on outside. Cloth cover has plastic hard spots for resting on ground/surfaces. Interior is black foam with plush lining. Large pick/string/strap/tool compartment with hinged lid located under neck support area inside case. Very importantly, foam provides excellent thermal insulation for cold Canadian winters (old-fashioned wooden cases do not), as well as impact and crush protection. I don't see any hinges - the cloth cover seems to act as hinge. Quality seems to be very very good. Perhaps it has been improved since earlier complaints.

I was looking for a traditional wood case and found that nothing would fit safely or properly Im very happy over all that the instrument fits perfectly but I am very weary about the build quality the plastic hinges and the main zipper dont seem very sturdy I wish they had the old style where the handle was solid to the main case and the hinges were replacable Im hoping that this case lasts as I us it a lot to store and transport my instrument and the hinges and zipper will get a lot of use

Super lightweight and very strong. Heavy duty zippers. Plush interior. Zippered outside pocket for music - not found on the vinyl and plywood cases. Best of all - I live in Winnipeg - protects your guitar from temperature extremes! I've had mine for over a year now with not a single negative thing to say about this case. A few bucks more than a heavy wooden case, and so worth it. By the way, if you own a gig bag, get rid of it right now. It's not protecting your guitar at all.

The zipper on my first one broke after a few weeks and L&M ordered a replacement which I now have. It would be a great case if Godin upped the quality: plastic hinges and fragile zippers should be improved.

I was in love with the case until very recently when the hinge split, I guess you pay the price with a light weight case. Unfortunately the hinges are apparently extremely fragile, "Plastic"!. Plastic hinges don't seem to stand up. After only 3 years of extremely light use, one of my hinges split in half. I've just had to order a replacement set for 10$ not including shipping. Godin doesn't provide any instruction or assistance but luckily for us someone else that was plagued with the issue decided to. It's very lightweight, but not built to last.
