Its seamless integration into MIDI rigs allows for quick changes to all front-panel controls, easy synching of your time-based effects (to themselves and to your drummer's click-track) as well as other time- and energy-saving features.
Plus, two output modes deliver easy and effective solutions for direct-recording and gigging. Performance Mode lets you send a signal, which provides tube and modeling interaction, via the XLR out to the front-of-house engineer. Studio Mode bypasses the tubes to send the platinum-album Line 6 modeling only.

Many so-called tube amps employ low-voltage "marketing" tubes to add authenticity to their "tube amp" claim. Line 6 Spider Valve MkII HD100 boasts bona fide Bogner-designed 12AX7 preamp and 6L6 power amp sections that run at lethal voltages (about 300 volts and 450 volts, respectively) to produce exceptional depth, tonal coloration and richness.
Handsfree control and more
The optional Line 6 FBV foot controllers deliver out-of-the-box volume/wah, pitch control, preset control and more. FBV Shortboard MkII pairs perfectly with Spider Valve MkII HD100 amp head to offer complete, handsfree control of the on-board Spider Valve MkII effects including Quick Loop, Smart Harmony and more. The bright and backlit oversized LCD makes it easy to see preset names and the chromatic tuner.

I just got my half stack and it is wicked. I own two mesa half stacks & I like the tone of this head nearly as much. The versatility of it is what seperates it from the pack.

My name is Adrian lead guitar player of "TRACENINE" we gig USA and Europe
we use are endorsed with Boogies but now I fell in love with this amp, its killer I can program a JCM hot rodded. Boogie lead, Fender clean , VOX AC30 who can afford all these amps.
Ive used the HD100 vs DUAL Recto. live same cabs. side by side and the HD100 kept up like a champ and I didnt even retube it yet!!!!!!
tons of effects, I personally prefer the HD100 MKi vs MKii which has way too much junk of effects on it, Im thinking of upgarding to the MKii which means more effects to waste my time , I like my delays wahs, flangers and im good killer guitar tons on the fly fast thats how the band likes it , less tap toeing on stage and focusing on the music.
