Headway Music Audio Ltd. proudly presents a new addition to their range of Acoustic Pickups & Pre-Amplifiers. After the success and 5 star reviews of the EDB-1 Equaliser Direct Blend Pre-Amp, Headway, having listened to customers feedback we have added the ultra-compact EDM-1.

The EDM-1 boasts Refined Class A Inputs and Pro Audio IC Components, easy to read Pro-Audio design layout & sturdy metal housings built to withstand Life on the Road. The EDM-1 is supplied with belt clips, rubber feet and is threaded for microphone stands.

Super clean sound. I play a Realist acoustic electric 5 string and a Yamaha YEV105. Can dial in a convincing tone with both. Tonight, I finally tried an SM57 in the channel 2 input. It’s great with my acoustic violin , too. Had to put some delay on it to tell the amplified sound from the under ear sound. Great piece of gear.

Used it with Upright bass. It's size and feature set make it indispensable for piezo pickups. It sounds great, virtually indistinguishable from preamps costing over twice as much. The EQ is responsive and clean, it's quiet and built like a brick. The variable HPF is the foundation, while the three impedance settings allow you to tailor the ?bloom? of the notes to a degree. Excellent tone! My only complaint is the lack of a second output to hit an amp while using the unit as a DI, which is super easy to get around.
