Here's the thing, a bigger stick gives you more control, more speed, more accuracy without all of the work! If you have a proper technique then these sticks are perfect for any style of music that you're playing. I think what throws people off is the fact that they are called metal drumsticks, but if you look at marching drummers and orchestral percussionists their sticks are usually 17 inches long and way thicker than .35 . I'm a hired gun who plays all types of music and these literally are the easiest sticks to play without being worn out by the end of the night. With these sticks I don't have to bash to get a full sound out of the drums, my grooves are tight, my solos are fast and in the studio I get the sound I'm looking for out of the drums, they really are an awesome all around stick. I use to nylon tips.

Ever thought about swinging a tree trunk at your precious dee-double-u's? Look no further, these bad boys are so thick they come with their own girth certificate. These are the sticks that abused house-kits in seedy little dive bars shudder in fear over. Cymbals literally break into thousands of peices with one swing (all of them, even the ones you didn't hit). Skins don't stand a chance, unless you have those 3 ply hydraulic assisted units, but even then, they whimper in pain and anguish against the onslaught of the thickness of the metal beating upon them. All in all, great sticks, I use them religiously and am still a terrible drummer!
