Stereo Isolation Headphones

Developed with Rod Morgenstein, these isolation headphones were designed to protect musicians from the high sound levels associated with their instruments. Prolonged exposure to these excessive levels of noise can have traumatic and lasting effects, including hearing fatigue, tinnitus and permanent hearing loss. These specialty headphones drastically reduce levels of external sound reaching a musician's ears, offering valuable protection from potential damage.

These specially designed headphones drastically reduce the level of external sound reaching the musician's ears, offering valuable protection from potential damage. The SIH1 reduces overall noise levels by 24 decibels and features high quality stereo headphones. Unlike non-isolation headsets, where musicians typically crank the volume to very high and potentially damaging sound levels in order to hear the music clearly, the SIH1 reduces ambient noise from the instruments. This allows the musician to play along with the recorded music or monitor other performers in a live situation at comfortable and safe sound levels.

Bought headfones on sale for 80$ and do not regret. The room where I play drums is not sound treated and drums sound very bad. I solved that problem just with that headfone set. Great for to play along.

Heavy, low volume, poor sound quality, ill fitting, hurt the ears, design unchanged in 15 years, but otherwise just OK. There are many other brands of headphones that are cheaper and better. I would not recommend buying these headphones.

I have had two pairs of these, both cut out on one side. They now cut in and out while tracking and it is a pain. They were a bit cheaper when I got them so they were worth it. At this price though, forget about it, look elsewhere for better build.

These do what I need them to do. Protect my ear drums from very high volumes. They may not be studio quality audio I still enjoy using them for practicing everyday. They are very comfortable for my shape head, the only thing is I sweat a bit after practicing for a couple hours. Get these, you won't regret it.

Not a bad sound, but AGREE with everyone here, they need to release some of the pressure on the banding. I actually get headaches from using them and no longer do. Kind of a shame after forking over that $$$.

Although they start to squeeze your head a bit after a while, the sound is superb for mixing because of the clarity from reducing outside noise. Excellent for drumming along most of all.

For what these headphones do, they are useful. The construction is similar to the home depot noise reduction headphones, lots of plastic with a somewhat cheap feel. Sound isolation is exceptional, sound quality is decent. They fit very tightly on my head, and the headband sits very tightly causing pressure at the top of my head. Something I would never feel with an AKG. A big improvement would be a self-adjusting headband. The website has a coil cable in the picture and the actual product just had a straight cable, no coil. Not bad, a bit expensive for what it is.
