The brackets that attach to the desk itself are tops. Well built and very strong. The weak spot is the set screw/pole mount area. There is only one set screw, and the bottom of the sleeve for the pole mount is much wider than the pole itself.
If that's hard to picture, what it amounts to is a slightly tilted shelf once it has some weight on it. If the sleeve were tighter to fit to the pole (like basically all portable PA stands are) and there were a second set screw a few inches down the tube, this thing would be super secure and stand up straight. A shear pin option as well as an official weight rating would also have been nice, for some peace of mind.
Overall though, it is strong and holds my monitors fine. YSM5s, for reference. If my monitors were big heavy ones, I'd plan on using some good floor stands instead.

Got the pair to go with my SD-01, very sturdy goes on easy, need to pre-drill your holes for the screw,
I got KRK Rokit 8 on them and they do not move, great product.
