As the name suggests, it is a dark cymbal. Although it's 17", its tone feels like a 20". Very fast decay and great quality cymbal. With that being said, you need to be careful with cymbal pairing as I discovered. With two XSR fast crashes, this one pretty much dies out in the mix because of how bright the XSRs are. However, pairing it with some of the darker cymbals in Sabian's lineup would work perfectly.
