No-Compromise Guitar FX and Amp Tones
Included are some of the most popular sounds from legendary guitar FX maker, TC Electronic's TonePrint pedals, like Flashback Delay, Hall of Fame Reverb, Corona Chorus, and Vortex Flanger. The Guitar section of VoiceLive 3 rivals even the most pristine pedal boards. Add to that the full gamut of great tone classics such as wah, octave, tremolo, and drive, and you've got an unbeatable guitar road kit.
  • TC Electronic TonePrint FX styles from Flashback Delay, Hall of Fame Reverb, Corona Chorus and others.
  • New Talk box, Chopper, Bass, Wah, and Drive guitar effects.
  • A wide choice of amp emulations from vintage British to classic American, when bringing your own amp isnt practical.
  • Acoustic Mode allows for quick set up of VoiceLive 3 for acoustic guitar.
  • Guitar chords automatically guide vocal Harmony, HardTune, Synth and Vocoder effects.
Dedicated Vocal PA and Guitar Out
What makes VoiceLive 3 stand out is the dedicated stereo vocal and stereo guitar amp outputs. Send your guitar sound directly to your favorite amp, completely independent of the vocal output going to the PA. The killer feature is that this also works if you're looping; the stereo vocal loops go to the PA while the stereo guitar loops go separately to the amps.

Building Better Songs with Loops
VoiceLive 3s looping allows you to experiment with real-time song creation or exciting loop jams. Arrange and re-arrange backing tracks with flexible verse-chorus-bridge switching. The LoopAssist function helps you make tighter loops effortlessly and auto-expands loops to allow different lengths. 45 minutes of looping time and
infinite overdubs let you create entire sets of songs -
and store them for instant recall.
  • Powerful multi-track looper with intuitive control layout and infinite overdubs.
  • 3-phrase looping with 4 selectable layering and serial techniques help you create intricate songs and on-the-spot re-arrangements.
  • LoopAssist with multi-purpose metronome and quantize for perfectly synced loops.
  • Auto expansion of loop length allows you to create long loops on top of short ones, and vice versa, without having to set up timing beforehand.
  • Loops can be stored onboard and recalled together with presets.
Next Generation 3iC Power Platform
While the form factor of VoiceLive 3 continues the tradition for VoiceLive 2 and VoiceLive Rack, look under the hood and youll discover an entirely different kind of beast. Sporting the new 3iC processing, VoiceLive 3 features cutting-edge hardware with 3 independent cores dedicated solely to vocals, guitar and looping. Match these with increased memory and lightning fast access and youre looking at more than double the processing power of the previous benchmark, VoiceLive 2.

Portable Command Center
A lot of time was spent figuring out the most effective I/O options to make VoiceLive 3 a flexible and extremely portable command center for your performance. On top of dedicated stereo PA and Guitar outputs you get separate monitor and headphone mix outputs, with a monitor mix input. Also included are the RoomSense microphones for controlling harmony and adding ambience to your monitor mix, as well as two control inputs for expression pedals or Switch-3.
  • 4-channel stereo outputs with dedicated vocal and guitar channels.
  • Independent headphone and monitor mix.
  • Combo Jack for Main inputs and automatic input/output sensing.
  • Monitor mix input and pass-through to other monitors.
Total Performance Control
VoiceLive 3 is designed to empower you and your performance, giving you easy access to presets, sounds and switching between them, while providing complete customization of switch functions and deep edit control. Use the LAYER button to change between the vocals, guitar and loop control layers. Each mode gives you instant access to layer-specific functions via the footswitches, with the LCD display showing a clear view of which footswitch controls what effect.
  • Consistent 3-layer UI philosophy. Vocals, Guitar and Looping each have their own 6-button layout.
  • Stompbox-style access to individual effects and loop controls.
  • LCD display shows current footswitch labels.
  • Complete customization of footswitch assignments across layers to suit your personal style and requirements.

TC Helicon has now admitted that 7% of the VL3's and VL3X's has a manufacturers defect resulting in display issues. Mine is two years old in October 2018, it has never left my music room, and my have been played for a total of 50 hours if that. A couple of days ago my display went blank and all glitchy when adjusting the buttons. TC Helicon "believes" the issue has been resolved... So Buyer beware and get extended warranties.

There were 2 things that bothered me about the VoiceLive 3. First, there was only 4 voice polyphony. My VoiceLive Touch could voice up to 8 MIDI notes when I played the keyboard, and so the choir sounds were bigger. Second, the guitar octave down pitch never sounded like a bass- it had far too much digital noise on the low strings. The VoiceLive 3 featured some new innovations which I liked, however, including the voice triggered guitar (vocoder carrier), the voice wave synth, and the root note harmonies. I liked the VoiceLive 3, but sold it in favour of the simpler VoiceLive Touch.

Product Experience   I've tried it

I rented this unit for a gig because I wanted a full choir effect for one spot. It worked on that spot perfectly and made it possible to pull off the necessary comical moment. It's good for obvious over the top effects, but as for tasteful reverbs, I found that they were all based on the same algorithm and pretty fake, but then I'm used to Valhalla. I imagine that you'd find one for sale at half the retail price somewhere. It does seem to be the only vocal stomp box of it's kind, so I guess this is the only option. I didn't check out the guitar fx or the looping, so don't know if they're any good. I didn't find it very intuitive to set up. Very sturdy construction.

Nice guitar effects and great vocal sounds. I had been using a Digitech vocalist 4 which was pretty good but this unit has it all and sounds really nice. Still learning about all the features but I'm very pleased

I bought this about a year ago and have not been disappointed. Upgraded from the VoiceLive 2, which was pretty awesome too. I use this for both vocal processing (harmony, reverb, delay) and for the guitar effects. I highly recommend this unit for someone looking for high-end professional voice and guitar processing. It will take a while to get used to the features but the rewards are off the charts!

I just bought this pedal. I own a play GTX and it is awesome but this pedal makes it look a like a cute play toy. There is a bit of a learning curve as it has multiple loops to play with and a huge amount of effects. But the vocal quality and effects are second to none. I am particularly impressed how it brought out the tone of my acoustic guitars. It does have some background noise but it is minor and not uncommon with any processor. Like my last pedal I will be playing around for month before I really master it. I would definitely recommend this especially at this price.

out of the box - I preferred the VL2 ...much more user friendly. This beast is more hands on & having to adjust gates etc for vocals?feedback issues - that being said I'd STILL tell any solo performer...acoustic or elec to purchase ANY TC helicon product...still love it

This TC Helicon VoiceLive 3 is a monster unit in terms of features and power. In footprint, it is half the size of my other multi-effect units, Line 6 POD HD500 and Boss GT-100. This unit, when upgraded to Build 120, makes the other two units seem a generation behind the times. This unit has triple core processing. Guitar, vocals and looping each have their own processor. The VoiceLive 3 has 45 minutes of multi-phrase looping (Verse/Chorus/Bridge). The other units have a few seconds of a one-trick pony. The VoiceLive 3 has versatile vocal effects and serious quality harmony. The guitar effects are everything you need. This level of integration is unprecedented in any unit, never mind a unit this small in footprint. This unit fits in your backpack. Improvements with Build 120 include: better feel, accuracy and musicality of the onboard looper especially for live performance; Looper - Timing precision of record, overdub, swap and playback increased for more natural looping; Looper - Allow smart sync from any loop to any loop (A used to have to be the master); UI – Added Loop Input options for STEP and Switch-3. Check out the VoiceLive 3 web site for details. This is a go-to unit for practice, composition, live performance, live looping. Its a portable command centre. Its a game changer.

This has amazing I/O options. The voices are outstanding. Very solid and easy to work with. If you want a doubled voice, a single harmony or a whole choir......this will do it in spades. TC-Helicon keeps upping the game.
