Pad Treatment is a bacteriostat that eliminates the mildew that destroys the wicking ability of the pads. With the elimination of the mildew in the pads, the wood fiber of the pad is maintained. It is the wood fiber that provides the enormous wicking capabilities of the pad. Tests have shown that pad treatment extends pad life to as much as twice the normal life. When used according to directions, Pad treatment further eliminates mildew in the easy fill tube. This is the only product recommended by Dampp-Chaser for use in its humidifier.
