What's so special about the Les Paul Special II Player Pack? The super-low price for starters, and that's not all. The Epiphone Les Paul Special II is made with a bolt-on mahogany neck, basswood body, smooth 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, and chrome hardware. This baby is every bit as handsome as its uptown cousins. Dual humbuckers, 700T at the bridge, 650R at the neck, deliver long, singing sustain and true LP tones.

This package also includes a 10-watt Electar™ guitar amp with a 10ft guitar cable, a clip-on headstock chromatic tuner, guitar strap, medium picks, and an easy-to-carry gig bag. And best of all for new players, the Les Paul Player Pack comes with free downloadable guitar lessons from eMedia™ covering rock, blues, folk, country, hard rock, and metal.

Note, battery is not included. To power your Player Pack tuner, you will need a 3-volt (CR2032) battery.

As I started playing guitar, I love this guitar dearly. I have been playing it for 8 months now and not had a single problem with the guitar itself. I will add though, I replaced the amp a few months later due to it not having a gain and mid knob, but for entry level guitar playing I live laugh love this player pack.

Great sounding guitar! With the dual humbuckers this baby packs a punch! I bought this 3 years ago and my only issues have been the toggle head has broken off and the volume knob has fallen off. However they still work so it is still playable. You may want to have it set up and replace the factory strings with some Ernie Ball hybrid slinkys. Overall good playability and excellent sustain. Arguably the best entry level guitar on the market!

This was a good starter kit for my son. The sound on the amp is crisp and high quality for the price. The guitar is entry level but should do the job fine for all beginners.

I think this guitar is solid, a good value and great fun. When properly set up, the music it produces is limited mostly by the capabilities of the player and the amplifier it is plugged in to. Out of the box (on the advice of the store) the guitar required replacement of the strings and a full setup to put it in good tune. Save yourself some time & travel and get the free setup offered by L&M done before you take it home. The pickup switch initially malfunctioned and after a trip to the store was quickly resolved. The zipper of the included gig bag broke the second time I tried to close it. L&M quickly replaced it with a better (aftermarket) bag. Thank you! The included amplifier is OK to learn the basics. To take full advantage of this electric guitar, you will need a better one.

This is my first electric guitar, so I don't have much experience with guitars as I am a beginner, but it does what I need it to and I enjoy using this guitar. The amp is alright but I am considering to upgrade since it doesn't have the knobs other amps do.

Got it as my first guitar. It was a bargain for the quality of the instrument. Only thing is, when I have opened the box, I noticed some chipped paint on the back of the fingerboard. Anyway, good price, good guitar, good amp and a good buy.

I cant agrue that it isnt an amazing guitar. I got this on my 13th birthday and i have no need to upgrade because everytime i play it sounds as good as the first day I got it. The tones are smooth and it came with everything listed. But, there are still some problems with it. When i received it the input jack was broken and a few weeks after the the togle of treble and got mixed up. Where treble became rhythm and vice versa. After all that, the strap broke sending my guitar plummeting to the ground. Where there is now chiped paint and a dent. And as if that isnt bad enough the cable stopped working. I can say this is a great product for begginers but i cant say that the equipment that comes with it is the best. So be prepared to buy a new strap and cable. And also picth pipe because that didnt even work when I got this

I've been using my new Epiphone Les Paul for a couple of weeks, but I don't regret at all. I love the warm sound, the sexy appearance of the guitar, and it comes with a pretty loud and clear amplifier. The CD is okay, and if it included an electric tuner it would be the best pack ever, although the pitch pipe is not that bad. If you're in a budget like me, and want a Les Paul, this is probably your best choice, especially for beginners.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
