This is a great sounding mandolin for its cost. Iv compared it to some of the $430 ones or even the $800 ones and the sound is pretty similar to em! The thing about the more expensive ones is that the sound sometimes sings out a tad better, and they look a bit better. But owning this for $140, it actually sounds really good. I preferred to others that were like $300. Great mandolin.

Great little unit, clear bright sound, smooth fret board, no sharp edges, no buzzing. All around this is a very good deal, and the bass wood body is a good one to get.

This is, from what I could find out there, the least expensive mandolin. It has good sound, clear, bright, sound. The only thing that could be better was the clear coat finish, it was less than perfect. I will put some polish on it, it will be just fine.
