I bought my pair in October 2022, as a replacement for my Sennheiser HD 280s. As of January 2026, I deeply regret my purchasing decision. Not only does the headband begin to fall apart after normal usage within a year, but the internal wiring is so thin that, in just three years of regular usage, the right earphone no longer produces sound.
The sound signature of these headphones may be suitable for normal listening and monitoring, but for my purposes (mixing in a bedroom studio), they fall a bit short. Both the boominess of the low to mid-frequency range, as well as the rolloff and scattered peaks at the high frequencies made it extremely ear-fatiguing to work on mixes for any extended period of time.
That being said, it's not all bad. The detachable wire feature came in handy after the wire broke within the first couple of months of owning them. My mixes also translated pretty well to other systems! But the negatives outweigh the positives, and I just can't recommend these headphones to anyone.

Really enjoy using these for mixing rock and electronic music. They are lightweight and great sounding. I've had a few chances to listen to finished music on them as well and they are fantastic!

Had to return these to Shure, because of the Fabric on the Headband It came completely off and couldn't be reattached. Shure sent a New Unit, but I felt that the Headband wasn't long enough to fit over my Swelled Head, and that was why the Fabric had dislodged, and would do so Again. L&M honoured their Satisfaction Policy, and allowed return of the New Replacement, and I found a Pair that are much more Comfortable to wear for Long Periods

Been using these for mixing for a year now and they are great - clear imaging and great bass! I use them for mostly Ableton and electronic music and they have have helped me hear everything so clearly, even when I have tons of tracks. I love the long cord so I can get around my studio without an extension!

Comfortable
Good Sound
Straight Cord is too long, a Coiled Cord would be better
Fabric on the Headband keeps coming loose, poorly designed Retaining System
