I did some research and often found reviews stating this pedal works after years of use. I would highly recommend it.....

It is a great, cost effective expression pedal to use with Strymon Timeline. Works as a charm. I gave it only 4.5 points because is made of plastic, yet solid.

Very basic, but does the job.
I use it with my boss PS-5 for guitar.
Feels delicate compared to a crybaby because plastic.
But as long as you aren't a lead-foot and aren't rough with it you'll get your money's worth

I was quite skeptical about buying this Expression pedal at first because of the plastic and low cost. When I plugged it into my Boss Dynamic Filter FT-2 pedal, I was amazed at the amount of hi & lo sweep I was able to attain. I've used the Roland EV-5 Expression Pedal before with the FT-2 wah and I must say the M-Audio ESP stacks up well against the EV-5 at under half the cost. So far it's held up well and hasn't failed mechanically or structurally. I'm quite happy with this purchase.

Bought this as my first expression pedal and to drive my Zoom G3 box. Affordable way to start working with an expression pedal without breaking the bank or having to buy the Zoom FP02. There are lot of negative reviews on-line about this unit being plastic and breaking. However, I am guessing this pedal was probably meant for a sit-down keyboard/computer setup and not having a guitarist stand on it with all their weight. Not as strong or heavy duty as a Morley but also a quarter of the cost. The guys in the Langley L&M store are always helpful, too.

Try using this with the Boss pedal you have in the store. Chances are it will work just right. I have used it on the RE-20, Dynamic Wah, BR-800, and the RT-20. You can get two for the price of one EV-5.
