I found a set of these in gold to match my gold hardware Stratocaster that is inbound. I was shocked to see they were made in Germany - in effect, these are therefore sub versions of Schaller, the only German strap lock company.
The gold versions are vastly heavier than the others, and the quality indicates they are in fact Fender branded Schaller. Love them!
