Use this as an extension for Roland TD 17 and it works as well as the OE's for a fraction of the cost of OE. Set the module settings to match the unit and play. Even the head is not too bad. You will require extra hardware/cable to mount but if you use a dedicated snare stand the old mount WILL clamp on to existing rack.
