Description
The Single Guitar Stand with SFF on Legs features the innovative Hercules Auto Grab System (AGS) yoke: the arms turn in and up with the weight of your guitar to hold it securely and simply open up when you lift it off. The legs and all contact points with the instrument feature Specially Formulated Foam (SFF) rubber to protect your guitar's finish. Also features the Hand Grip Height Adjuster, which makes adjustments a breeze with a locking pin to secure the stand in place. A folding backrest flips down to support your guitar and back up for storage and transport.

I just purchased my second one of these (the Plus version was the only in stock version), my fourth Hercules product.
The comments regarding the gooey plastic and subsequent failure, reviewed below and under the GS414B+, apply to my first stand. It was great until it wasn’t!
With Paul’s assistance (L&M Moncton) I submitted a warranty claim; thank you sir. Just like the review "Posted by Dom on Oct 27, 2023", I too had the good fortune to deal with the very nice lady from Canadian warranty claims. My claim was reviewed and approved within the day. A replacement is on its way.
From my perspective; I again/still have a superior guitar stand (well, two now), a reassuring warranty, and a positive customer service experience I won’t forget. Yes, I would buy again (I have already), and again, and again, and…

I noticed that a few others have posted about the same issue that I had with both of my stands, regarding the neck adjuster.
I have "cleaned" them with numerous different products but have found that the 'deteriorating, sticky plastic' usually returns.

The plastic adjuster for the neck holder length turned sticky and failed. It's now junk.
Was good for about two years before it started degrading. Lasted about 6 years
I'll have to pick up another stand

I've got 4 or 5 of these stands and their great .Some at least 8 to 10 years old.Super easy to use
It offers good guitar support, and so far no issues whatsoever.,

I had the same problem as another reviewer. The rubber mechanism deteriorated and broke and became all sticky. Strange. So it's a good product but it only lasted about 7-8 years. I suppose it's due to the weight of my Gibson Les Paul over several years.

Works great and is designed well. But after owning it for 6 yrs the plastic on the adjuster is breaking down and is turning into a sticky mess. Not exactly what I expected from a Herc.

This was a birthday present from my gal so I wasn't sure what to expect. After setting it up and trying it out, I was amazed how awesome it was in my guitar room. Fits all 6 of my guitars, sits secure and easy to grab.

I bought this stand based on reviews, very disapointed with quality and design. Web page says legs are protected but there is no foam on legs. Took it back and tried another, same problem, yoke mechanism jams when placing guitar in yoke.

Secure stand with locking "arms" helps to keep the guitar safe from slipping out of the stand. Works with pretty much any body shape guitar (explorer, Flying V, etc, ) Wish I had one of these years ago.
