Architecturally create your own rig in seconds. You can easily achieve the most sought-after tube amp sounds, and entirely new ones as well. Choose amplifier type, modification and speaker cabinet/mic placement configurations. You can easily mix and match specific sound
characteristics in ways that would otherwise be physically improbable, probably impractical and definitely not cost effective. The GT2 is a truckload of great amps in a single, simple pedal.

Nothing compares, it surpasses everything else out there that tries to sound like a Marshall, Mesa or Fender, it's the king of distortion and overdrive/clean pedals, once you buy one you can $ell all of your other distortion and overdrives because none of them will come close to the GT-2, except maybe the Behringer T300

I found out about these through much research and frustration with digital modeling gear, always sounded hissy and flat. This little pedal has the basics of a tweed, Marshall and Mesa in one great stomp box size. The tones are fabulous and very tweakable. Some issues: the levels between the amps are not the same, for example, going from the fender to the Mesa means you'll have to dial the volume back quite a bit. The switch to go from one amp to another (and the high gain and mic placements) is a tiny slider, so needs fingers, not feet. That said, I use it in live situations, and as a stomp box it's awesome. I do have to kneel down and make adjustments to tone between songs, but that takes a less time than a 4 count (once you know what to dial in). It's very solid, all analogue, and gives me a wide range of tones. Glad I hunted one down.

Every mode on this pedal is usable and sounds fantastic. Beware though, this is a powerful, highly tweakable unit, and as such it is possible to dial in a terrible sound. Also I would not use this in front of an amp, I use it only direct to board either for recording or playing live. But you really can dial in a variety of amp sounds based off the Mesa Boogie, Marshall, and Fender circuitry. Its a pretty quiet unit too, no noticeable hum coming through. One thing though, I had to buy and EQ pedal to run right after it, because it gives a very "thumpy" low bass response when you crank the low knob, which sounds good but often overly bassy. So shelve off below 125 Hz or so and you are golden. This really does feel like a tube amp too, it beats the pants off every single digital modeller I've ever played. You will have to spend some time tweaking to get the sound you are after but its well worth your time. To summarize: Great for recording Tons of sounds in this thing, from clean to blistering boogie tones. Low noise. Very authentic feel, real tube-like analogue response. Organic, transparent sound. - You can actually tell when you switch guitars, the The pedal responds wonderfully to different pick-ups and instruments. Also great for practising, plug in your headphones and you are good to go. I would recommend this to every guitar player I know.
