What a great way to introduce classical piano literature to your students. This is a collection of four well-known piano pieces by Ludwig van Beethoven. Each piece has a simple soprano recorder part that allows your students to play along with the actual piano piece! There are two easy and two easy/intermediate pieces recorded digitally on a high-quality CD. The kit includes a CD with eight tracks (four full performances with recorder, and four with piano only) student parts, and permission to photocopy. The featured selections are:

• Fur Elise - G, A, B, C, D - Beginner - good opportunity to teach "musical road signs" - repeats, 1st & 2nd endings, multiple measures of rest - mostly dotted half notes with quarter notes and a few eighth notes
• Sonata (Pathetique) - G, G# (A flat), A, B, C, D - Advanced Beginner/Intermediate - Beginners CAN play this when you change all A flats to C - mostly quarter, half and whole notes
• Rondo (from "Sonata" Op. 49 No. 1) - G, A, B, (B flat), C, D - Advanced Beginner/Intermediate - Changing the B flats to Gs will make this approachable by advanced beginners - LONG - 6/8 time with mostly eighth notes, slurs and staccato
• Minuet - G, A, B, C, D - Beginner - mostly quarter notes with a few half and eighth notes thrown in
