I use it when i need to be quiet, while the baby is sleeping. It's the best guitar to practice my fingerstyle at night in from of the TV. I've swapped the strings for EJ16. The action was very high at about fret 12 and higher. The luthier did an incredible job at the Joliette facility. I recommend this product !

I am a beginner and this guitar has changed my learning process dramatically. I originally had a dreadnought but the physical size was always a problem, I used to quit playing after 10 minutes or so due to frustration. This is the perfect size and it sounds great, I can easily play at least an hour a day now. Also looked at a GS Mini but this little Martin just felt perfect. I highly recommend!

Bought mine maybe two weeks ago, and it's wonderful! Sounds superb- especially for a somewhat smaller guitar. In. fact, I would easily put it up against my full-size Martin DC-16RGTE which cost at least twice as much! Why buy a second Martin acoustic electric? I wanted something smaller, that I could just grab on the couch beside me to practice with if I'm watching TV, listening to music, or just sitting around, that also wouldn't feel cumbersome (like the bigger one- better for playing 'live'), and would therefore cause me to want to practice more. Compact, but easily good enough for recording or performing. Hell, Ed Sheeran did just fine with a Martin around the size of a Ukulele! But this is bigger, and sounds wonderful!

I had wanted a travel size acoustic for some time now so purchased the Hawaiian KOA PLUS unit late 2021. For me a mistake. I was familiar with the" hollow drum" sound the lack of back bracing produces in guitars built this way ( at least to my ears) , and told myself I wouldn't notice it over time....WRONG!! So next I went for the Martin Junior 000 cutaway all solid Sapele/Spruce unit. Does a good job sound wise for this size of guitar. Wasn't available with the MXT electronics like my 000 Martin "Road Series" came with. Still a good value for an all solid wood guitar and even with my large hands is a real easy player. I am Enjoying it very much and am picking it up as often as the others in my collection. Thanks to the great staff at LM New Minas store.

I initially overlooked this guitar in my search for an acoustic as my local store did not have one in stock and I assumed it was a travel or child's guitar. I tried two other Martins and a Taylor and the initial leading contender was a Martin Road Series 000-10E which was a bit more expensive (not really an issue) and had a great sound/projection. I was not quite certain so I went to another L&M in the next city that had several guitar models of interest in stock so I could try and directly compare them. In the end, I like the size, and fit of the 000CJr-10E; it has a slightly smaller body and does not project quite as loud as the full size 000-10E but it is pretty close. I immediately exchanged the 000 for this junior model and took it home with me; I have not had any second thoughts on this guitar and am very happy with it. The electronics work fine but unlike its big brother in the Road series it does not have a built in tuner and its only available in a satin finish. The included gig bag is okay but not as robust as the one sold with the more expensive road series. As a side note, I also tried the very popular Taylor-mini which is available in several finish options and with a tuner but it also has an even shorter neck (23,5"vice 24" scale on Martin) and a smaller neck at the nut (1 11/16" vice 1 3/4" on Martin). The mini is also a very nice guitar it felt a bit too small for my taste. The neck on the Martin is less than an inch shorter than the full size 000 and felt just right for me; unlike the Taylor, I don't feel compressed or like I'm playing a child's guitar. The Martin 000 junior models are excellent all round guitars for both adults and youth. Overall, a great guitar at a great price; and as always, the pre and post sale service at L&M is second to none!

Don't be fooled by words like `junior' or `beginners'. I have been playing guitar for over 40 years and this is simply the most fun I have ever had on an acoustic. This is a Martin, through and through. Though slight in size, the guitar packs an audible punch worthy of any full size beast. I prefer the smaller size. The neck is slippery fast and the bass response is incredible. If you are hesitating on pulling the trigger, don't. Just get one.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
