Based on the autograph score of the arrangement as harpsichord concerto BVW1055, the oboe concerto could be recovered with great certainty as the original composition. The piano reduction reproduces the solo part according to the latest research and is suitable as a reliable basis for rehearsing a concert performance as well as for chamber music playback with oboe d'amore and harpsichord or piano.
