I really like the feel of the Fender 7150 bass string, there is something quite comfortable about them. Their sound is great IMO and I have found that I can mellow them easily enough if I choose to do so. On my two J basses one with custom 60's pups and one with Aero customs. Two totally different sounds of course and both basses work well with the 7150s. I put Fender 9050s on my P basses. Awesome. Good job by Fender.

The Fender 7150 is an excellent set of pure nickel bass strings. They're versatile and can cover any genre of music from ballads, funk, to death metal. They're not crazy bright and zingy - just right in the sweet spot allowing their versatility to shine. They do everything well.
They feel similar to other round wounds; not overly smooth and not overly rough.
I wish the strings still had the yellow/gold silks ( now have none) but it's a minor niggle.
Try them. I think you'll like them. Pure nickel is very resistant to corrosion and maintain their good looks and good tone a long, long time.
