Bach's great monument, The Art of Fugue has been transcribed by Ralph Sauer for Four Part Trombone Ensemble. Volume 4 contains four Contrapuncti 13a, 13b, 14, 15 and his last work, the Chorale, Vor Deinen Thron.
Although playable by a quartet, the Fugues may be performed by a larger ensemble with the included optional divisi. Playable by advanced performers, any of these Fugues could be a major part of any Trombone recital or concert.
