This two minute work for Trombone trio (or Brass trio) by Canadian composer Malcolm Forsyth is modeled after the fugues of Bach and Villa Lobos famous works in his honour entitled "Bachianas Brasileiras". The Villa Lobos is modeled after the folk music of Brazil with a Bach flavour. The Forsyth work is a cheery fugue in 18th Century style. There are substitute parts for Trumpet in B-flat and Horn in F, making it very playable by traditional brass trio for intermediate level performers.
