These strings let you hear your guitar tone. Some of the coated strings and those new "unbreakable" strings have a very distinct tone that I feel takes away from the character of your guitar. If you have really nice guitars you want to hear that perfect tone that you were looking for. These strings deliver on that front. Just like a really great amp that lets the character of your guitar shine through instead of giving it a somewhat overwhelming tonality associated with lower end gear.

Great strings, not as bright as the regular versions, gives a nice vintage sound for what I play and the tone I’m going for (roots, rock n roll, rockabilly, country type music). Never had an issue with intonation, tuning, bending, feel, they’re my rock solid go to for any guitar I’ve played, Gretsch duo jets with Bigsby to a straight Tele’s. These have never let me down.

Great sound, great features but horrible durability they wear out way to fast, i enjoy these string because i can go from jazz to blues to rock with no problems but i have to buy sets way to often with this set
