The fourteen simple unison melodies in this collection, designed for use with lower elementary students in Sunday school or Christian schools, will provide a wonderful opportunity to introduce some of Jesus’ teachings to children through song. Themes including peace, trust, the importance of keeping promises, positive behavior, and the undying love of Jesus are featured, as are songs for Advent, Palm Sunday, Easter, and Communion. There’s even a touching call to prayer that could be used in the worship service. Each song draws its inspiration from a bible verse, a portion of which Mark has set rhythmically to help it serve as a memory verse. Themed, reproducible coloring pages and worksheets are also provided for use with each lesson.
