Steve Vai has used DiMarzio® ClipLock® Quick Release Guitar Straps for over twenty years.
The Blue and Silver UtoPIA™ design was created to go together with Steve's signature Ibanez PIA "Blue Powder" guitar, and features a silver baroque swirling leaf pattern over a powder blue background.
DiMarzio® ClipLock® Quick Release Guitar Straps were the first to feature the heavy-duty plastic clip that allows you to easily change from guitar to guitar with a little fingertip pressure. ClipLock® Quick Release Guitar Straps are the industry standard for strength, security, and quality. They attach securely to your guitar with two sturdy bushings and extra-long screws sized to fit the strap bushing screw holes on most electric guitars and basses. The DiMarzio® ClipLock® Quick Release system is the most secure and unique fastening method available to safeguard your guitar.
The Steve Vai UtoPIA™ ClipLock® strap is made of high-quality printed microfiber with ClipLock® ends. It is also available in Black & Gold, White & Gold and Pink & Gold versions.

After dropping a nice guitar due to a unsecured strap, i decided to try and not let that happen again. I wanted strap locks but hated the conventional dunlop style because it’s so large and sticks out from the body so much. After researching i found the dimarzio cliplock and it was a no brainer. I love how low profile and secure this system is. I’ve installed these on all of my guitars as they are excellent and really nice quality. The only issue i see is, the hard plastic clips themselves can mark up sensitive finishes like nitrocellulose. I don’t mind as the lacquered guitars i have were already marked up but it could be a deciding factor for some players.

Highly recommended if you are a Steve Vai fan. This goes hand in hand with my Blue Floral Jem. Also, It is very easy to install and feels very comfortable.
