Description

The Rechargeable Amp Power Pack offers a convenient reusable power solution for select Roland mobile amplifiers that support battery operation, including the CUBE Street EX, AC-33 Acoustic Chorus, and other models. The one-piece design pops easily into the back of the amplifier, eliminating the need to fuss with multiple AA-size batteries. But the benefits don't stop there-you also get up to twice the runtime over standard batteries, and the amplifier delivers output power and SPL that's nearly equivalent to using the AC adaptor.

Features

• Official Roland rechargeable battery pack for select amplifier models
• Easy to install and remove
• Longer runtime than using AA batteries
• Allows the amplifier to deliver more output power and SPL than what's possible with standard batteries
• Premium design with safe, efficient, and reliable NiMH (nickel-metal hydride) battery
• Can be charged with the AC adaptor included with the supported Roland amp model (excluding the BA-330)

Compatible Products

- Katana-Air EX Guitar Amplifier
- CUBE Street EX Battery Powered Stereo Amplifier
- AC-33 Acoustic Chorus
- AC-33-RW Acoustic Chorus
- KC-220 Battery Powered Stereo Keyboard Amplifier
- BA-330 Stereo Portable Amplifier (optional PSB-12U or PSB-12U2 adaptor required for charging)

Q & A

Question: Is this powerful enough for a Positive grid spark 40 amplifier?
- asked on Dec 14, 2025
Answer: You generally can't directly use the Roland Rechargeable Amp Power Pack (BTY-NIMH/A) with most other amp brands because it's a proprietary, integrated battery designed specifically to slot into compatible Roland/BOSS amps (like CUBE Street EX, AC-33, Katana-Air EX) for seamless power and charging. While the pack provides AC power, its unique connector and internal design are for Roland's battery-powered line, not standard wall-plug amps.
