Description

Fuzz has been one of those guitar effects that has become a staple sound of rock, and no other type of fuzz exists as a microcosm of 60s experimentation and musical revolution as the Behringer OCTAVIA OCTAVE FUZZ!

The 60s was all about pushing boundaries. When it came to music, new and exciting sounds were what everyone was after, and guitar icon Jimi Hendrix led that charge by utilizing the original octave fuzz in songs like "Purple Haze," "Fire," and many others.

Fire it Up!
While Jimi Hendrix opened the doors to this unique and unpredictable sound, many other great guitar players followed in his psychedelic wake. Notable ones being Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Kenny Wayne Shepherd.

OCTAVIA OCTAVE FUZZ lets your guitar stand out in a mix with its distinct and sometimes unpredictable octave up sound. It's all analog, silicone-based circuit also means your tone will be 100% pure and authentic so you can set it, forget it, and rock out!

Controlled Chaos
The super-simple control layout of Volume and Boost lets you set the output volume and amount of fuzz. OCTAVIA OCTAVE FUZZ responds really well to your picking dynamics and sounds amazing on single-coils or humbuckers. A great way to play with OCTAVIA OCTAVE FUZZ is to set the fuzz knob to about 10 o' clock, switch to your neck pickup and play up on the 12th fret. You'll get some pretty cool, chirpy octaves with just the right amount of distortion underneath that you can bring out right when you need it.

Ready for Anything
Whatever guitar, amp and pedal combination you have, the OCTAVIA OCTAVE FUZZ can easily make its home in your rig and give you all the legendary tones you've been searching for or give you new ones never knew you wanted.

I recently got this Behringer Octavia pedal, and considering the low price (in comparison to other Octave pedals) and ease of adding it to my pedal board without needing a special center positive cord or 18V power supply (uses a standard center negative 9V power input) this thing is really decent for the cost. Does the Hendrix Octavia thing, using the volume up and the gain back about 1/3 of the way gives a cleaner Octavia sound, going full gain or ‘boost’ gets you into almost Velcro fuzz tones, especially if you have it stacked with another fuzz pedal. I was going for the Hendrix band of gypsies sounds so lower boost, higher volume settings and it’s pretty much there. It’s not quite as good as my last Octavia pedal, the Fulltone Octafuzz, but it’s also not almost $300 and requiring the center positive plug etc. and I have two other fuzz pedals so the fuzz alone setting that the Fulltone pedal has isn’t necessary for me. Over all, for $110 you get that sound and it looks pretty cool too. Worth it if you only occasionally use this type of tone and effect, and does a really decent job for the price. I would definitely recommend checking one out for yourself.
