Bent mouthpieces (for brass instruments) cause tremendous back pressure. Tap the tapered end into the bent shaft of the mouthpiece, tapping with a hard plastic hammer around the mouthpiece shaft to make it round again. Tap in further if necessary, tapping the mouthpiece shaft round again. Works like a charm. This well made tool is a must have in every band director’s tool kit.
