Description
DiMarzio believes the Area 58 and Area 61 are a major step forward in the performance of hum-canceling Strat replacement pickups. The new technology that went into these models has allowed them to make a similar advance with Telecaster replacement pickups. The Area T Neck has the combination of clarity and warmth that Telecaster players have always sought, and the new technology allows DiMarzio to include a vintage Tele cover with no sacrifice in sound quality or power.

I replaced my stock telecaster neck pickup with the Area-T. It was an amazing upgrade and quite affordable.
This pickup is well balanced across the frequency spectrum. The mid-rage is wonderfully snappy. The pickup responds dynamically simply by the way you strum/pick. Using your volume and tone knobs means a lot of options. From a moody jazz/blues to a bright country twang to a 1990's alternative rhythm. It does it all without messing about. I would have a hard time telling this pickup apart from an active pickup. The pickup is marketed as noiseless, and it achieves this with no loss of tone, if anything, this pickup adds a sparkle to your tone.
