I got 2 of these for my 9415 Flying Dragon double pedal which had the old fashioned felt beaters. There is every shape and size of beater on the market but I chose these because they offer 2 sounds. I'm pretty new to drumming but the improvement was obvious. They are a little heavier than the stock beaters and it made my bass drum significantly louder and also clearer. I had to adjust the height and tighten my heads a bit to keep it from overpowering. Each orientation is very useful and not as subtle as I expected. Although this is only the 2nd type of beater I have tried, I can see a lot of people digging these in a major way.
