Police, security, and counterterrorism units require covert audio surveillance systems that are robust yet as small and lightweight as possible. It offers two channels of advanced filtering and speech enhancement in a compact unit that sits directly between microphones (probes) and headphones. The device operates with minimal latency and is extremely easy to use. Thanks to a 12V power input, it can be used with either mains or battery power, making it ideal for covert surveillance and rapid tactical deployments.

Supplied in its own rugged carrying case, the SE 1 is small enough to fit in a pocket. Yet its advanced audio processing capabilities allow first responders to monitor audio signals, reduce noise, and significantly improve the intelligibility of audio recorded in challenging conditions. The SE 1 is also versatile: It can be easily integrated with other equipment-via both analog and digital inputs and outputs-and features two independent headphone outputs for direct live monitoring on the device.
You can use a single SE 1 to monitor two microphones in one location, or two listeners can each listen to individual microphones in separate locations. Alternatively, you can input the signal from a single source and generate two outputs-the original, unprocessed audio and the filtered audio-so that courts and investigators can hear both the original and the filtered version.

The SE 1's audio processing is significantly more sophisticated than conventional noise reduction products, offering two simultaneous processes that maximize audibility and intelligibility. The first is a powerful noise suppressor based on CEDAR's groundbreaking FNR forensic noise reduction system. The second is a dynamic signal enhancement filter that further emphasizes speech and includes a limiter to prevent output distortion when loud noises suddenly appear in otherwise quiet signals.
