We are thrilled to welcome well-known composer and educator Brad Ciechomski to the Kendor catalog! He has come up with a fun-filled swing ride that cooks from the opening bass lick to the final brass punch. You'll find lots of dynamic contrasts that will show off the abilities of the ensemble.

Shut it Down is a pocket shuffle that will lock your ensemble from the first bars. A great opener or closer to your concert program, Shut it Down is a very playable chart, range wise, provides a bit of attitude along with a swinging bridge. Written for the developing band in mind, the rhythms and ranges are well within playable range and provide a stylistic (somewhat nasty) shuffle feel. The bridge provides an ensemble shout that locks up the band leading to the improv section. Soloists can develop and explore as they play over these accessible changes; using written solos or crafting their own musical language.
