These little pieces for recorders and Orff instruments focus on classical form structures. Most of them are composed in ABA form, one is in sonata form and one is a theme and variations.
They are especially designed to help children's groups with some basic instrumental training to develop their ability to play together as well as their understandiing of form.
The two suites, Pent-Aba-Tonica and Modal Suite, as well as the Variations are best perfromed as whole pieces, without interruption. However, the different sections may also be perfromed in the classroom as independent pieces.
