- Composer/Author: BLODEK, VILEM
- Instrumentation: FLUTE
- Model # BA11737-90
Composer: Vilem Blodek

Format: Sheet
Instrumentation: Flute/Piano
The Flute Concerto by Vilem Blodek (1834-1874) enjoyed increasing popularity immediately after its premiere in 1862 and today it belongs to the standard concert repertoire for this instrument.
This piano reduction offers a well-manageable orchestral reduction by Petr Koronthaly as well as the solo flute part in a revised version, as opposed to the Supraphon edition of 1961. The flautist, historian and musicologist Lukas M. Vytlacil has made revisions on the basis of the surviving sources. In the process, later interpretative adaptations were removed from the flute part. In addition, the first movement is included here for the first time in its original, unabridged version.
