I replaced the stock MIM pickups on my 2012 jazz bass with these and wow, they just sound absolutely great. I’ve owned American jazz basses, and with this upgrade it definitely sounds higher quality. I had a professional luthier install these pickups, and he said it was pretty simple. The pickups are definitely louder and brighter than the stock MIM ones, and the tone is just all around fuller and punchier.
