The 2025 limited-edition ATH-M50x ENSO professional monitor headphones celebrate the classic, all-black style of the original M50x, launched in 2014 but with a twist. For the first time, Audio Technica incorporated custom engraving on the earcups and headband, reflecting both sound waves and the brushstrokes found in Japanese ink paintings of the Enso circle. And just as the Enso represents the cyclical nature of life, so the M50x ENSO returns us to the sophisticated black color of the original M50x, after releasing a spectrum of limited-edition colors over the years.

The Art of Enso
Painting the Enso circle with black sumi ink is a meditative practice. Rendered in a single, continuous brushstroke, the Enso reminds both artist and viewer of the uniqueness of artistic expression and the interconnectedness of all things.
