Innovative and Fun Kit

I am impressed. First of all, the packaging is very high quality, almost overkill. That's a good sign of what's to come. The component themselves seem high quality. The add-on tom and cymbal have their own little gig bags, which fit into the main case when everything is disassembled. It took me a minute or two to figure out how to assemble it; the instructions are OK (and I suspect there are better instructions online, but I'm an analog guy) but I had a few puzzled moments that were quickly sorted.
This kit sounds super cool! It's designed for educational settings, but I can totally see it as a viable portable kit for many settings. It is SUPER fun to play. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. The sounds are surprisingly good. I'd say the weakest spot is the cymbal, and it's not surprising that I say that. My regular cymbals include K Cons and similar. I think if someone comes up with an aftermarket cymbal that sounds more like a cymbal this kit will be even more fire than it is now.
Putting it back into the case took me a few minutes to figure out, but subsequent assembly and disassembly should be super quick. I love how everything fits so neatly inside and it can be worn like a backpack.
I think this is a fantastic and innovative percussion product. The quality seems very high out of the box. Hopefully the stores will have some on the floor for people to play.
