Stringed Instrument Performance Assurance Checklist
Unlike our free set-up, which is included within the first year of purchase, this process is done to have the instrument set to the factory specs rather than to each player's feel or preferences.
We look after the following:
- Inspect finish and hardware.
- Check electronics to make sure everything is in working order. Check batteries on active pickups.
- Inspect strings.
- Inspect frets and fretboard.
- Check truss rod. Adjust for bow and relief.
- Tune instrument to manufacturer's specified tuning.
- Check/set action height.
- Stretch strings and re-tune instrument and ensure machine heads are working well.
- Check for fret buzz by playing every note.
- Check/set intonation.
- Check/set pickup height.
- Cleaning and professional repacking.
Description
The one-piece quartersawn maple neck has a comfortable '55 Soft "V" back-shape with a 7.25" radius, 20 Medium Vintage frets and a bone nut for authentic mid-'50s playability, while the combination of its Custom Shop Hand-Wound '55 Precision Bass® pickup and flatwound strings give players the thunderous low end and growling midrange that are specific to this era of P-Bass®.
Other features premium features include '55 Precision Bass® wiring, 1-ply parchment pickguard, 2-saddle vintage-style bridge, vintage-style tuning machines, disc string tree, deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.
