Description

  • Composer/Author: LEONTOVICH, MYKOLA
  • Instrumentation: SAX QUARTET
  • Model # SQ225126
Arranger: Ryan Meeboer
Format: Score and Parts
Instrumentation: Saxophone Quartet (AATB)/Opt. Drums
Difficulty: Medium

Unlike the original composition, this arrangement is written in common time and opens by setting up the feel of the tune with a descending bass line and accompanying chords. The chords need to have a smooth crescendo and should not get too strong to overpower the main tune. Measure 17 is to be played with lots of energy, but stay in control of tone. Written solos have been provided, but chords are also included in case performers would prefer to improvise a solo. As the chart progresses, it converts into its original metre of 3/4, creating a jazz waltz feel and builds to it final climax at measure 92. Optional Drum Set part is included.
