It works well... as long as you find a stud and use better screws.
I use industrial grade Robertson headed (Square) deck screws.. that hanger ain't coming out unless the hulk decides to pull on it.
Otherwise good for the money unless you need Nitro safe stuff... I've had the stock hardware fall off the wall as I lifted the guitar into my hand before.. I repeat.. do not trust the stock screws.

I've purchased a few of these in the past with no issues, but one I just picked up (Dec 2018) has an issue with mounting screws. The head on the shorter screw is too large for the mounting hole on the hanger. It's close, but needs to be filed down to fit.

Bought this product to display my Les Paul on the wall. Was woken up in the middle of the night by a loud crash, walked into the living room to find my Les Paul face down on the floor. Turns out that the head of the *screw it comes with was broken off. I would highly recommend using different hardware as the one supplied are not good enough for a solid body electric guitar. My 15.00 investment has now cost me 500.00 in repairs and now has that road worn look.

its almost perfect but as other reviewer stated already, you need to beef up the mounting screws and plugs. once you do this it becomes a very capable wall mount. make sure you mount it to wall studs and not just drywall...

It's good except I for the attached mounting bracket (poor designed). To make this much stronger and much easier to mount to my wall, I simply drilled a second counter-sunk hole at the bottom of the block (identical to the one provided at the top of the block), and used some better screws and plugs I already had on hand. This small modification would have made for a better design. Overall It's a good guitar hanger.
