The JB Rails offers the modern player a unique combination bringing together the Seymour Duncan JB Model (one of Seymour Duncan's most iconic pickups) with rail design. This configuration retains the classic character of our JB Model with its powerful low-end, strong highs, and upper midrange bump, which has made it the go-to lead pickup for countless luminaries. Rail design evenly distributes the magnetic field across the strings, providing enhanced string-to-string balance with increased clarity and sustain. The result is perfect for modern high-gain applications, and it looks as hot as it sounds.

Employing a 500k volume pot will give you pronounced high-end, while opting for a 250k pot mellows and softens the tone, ideal for a smoother response. The JB Rails is designed to pair perfectly with our Jazz Rails neck pickup.

Hand built in Seymour Duncan's Santa Barbara, CA factory, the JB Rails uses an Alnico 8 bar magnet, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options like series, parallel and split coil, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. They are available in 6-String and 7-String versions.
