I have had this guitar for a couple of weeks now, and I am very impressed with the quality and sound of the guitar. It is a very beautiful guitar. I have not had a chance to plug it yet, but the acoustic sound is pretty good and rich.

I purchased this guitar 3 months ago. It has surpassed my expectations in quality. I am not a guitar snob. I will play whatever you put in my hands. No less, the quality of this instrument, which I purchased from a small shop in Northern Alberta, Canada, has, and DV, will continue to serve me well. For a small body acoustic, the sound is well balanced, it is not s thin as one might expect from the size of the body cavity, and when played in a larger room with decent acoustics, and no sound distractions, it is excellent. Unplugged. I have not, since I purchased the instrument, played it plugged in. Only in the shop from which I purchased it, did I test the electrics. During hat test, I spent half of one hour, more or less, playing with the controls for lows, mids (with AMF controls for 80 - 10'000 hertz) and highs, shaping the sound as seemed pleasing. The controls themselves are sturdily in place, no shifting when pushed, turn or otherwise fondled., and the battery cavity, spring loaded with a pull-aside ejection system, seems solid, when well kept. The construction of the body is decent, but not perfect When inspecting the binding around the body and neck, there are few to no imperfections. The nut is glued in to the bottom on the nut slot very heavily, I can be assumed, due to there being a small, probably less than 1 millimetre gap between the fingerboard and nut. This isn't really a problem yet, because the nut is so firmly glued down, that despite the weight, pull and push of the strings, it has not shifted, thus moving the string fulcrum point forward, and allowing both string sawing in to the nut, and potentially degraded intonation. Lastly, the strings on the higher, that is, lighter gauge side of the nut are quite deep cut into the nut. It actually appears that they are cut all the same depth, which honestly won't affect mush if the action at the bridge is set-up to handle the effects of this. At the head stock, the holes through which protrude the tuning pegs are all even and symmetrical. Lastly, the break angle over the nut down to each string is slight enough that string bending, even with .12/.54's, will no cause deepening of a well rounded nut slot for quite a long time, I expect. I cannot speak for the durability of the guitars construction when considering the high tensions of alternate tunings, as though I often use alternate tunings, I only use them n my Roland Synthesizer, and my electric guitar, which together have the capability of alternate tunings with no change in string tension Finally, out of a selection at the store from which I purchased this instrument being black, red or blue, I chose blue. The quality of the finish is second to none other I have seen. I love blue acoustics. Lastly, kudos to Terry at Five star pawn, from whom I purchased this instrument, for being very knowledgeable, and getting me such a great deal on it!

I've had this guitar for a couple weeks. My sister gave it to me a few months after buying it, and it still looks and sounds like new! Let's see if it still holds up for another two years.
