I ordered online and got it delivered to my local store. It arrived within a few days. I used it to play drums at the lowest position and stringed instruments at a higher position. I also use the pegs as footrests when standing. It is so versatile, but not perfect. A few things to consider...
(I am a 1/4 inch shy of 6 foot)
1) The back and footrest can NOT be adjusted. (one size fits all)
2) The backrest is pretty high (even for me), if I was shorter than am I, it would restrict my upper body rotation.
3) The lowest seat position is 23 1/2 inches (59.5cm)
4) It is *very* slightly tilted forward (I mesured between 1 & 2 degree[s]). I think it is great for the fulcrum on the drums.
I am replacing the screw to adjust the hight with a quick-release pin, I find that the tread on the screw will wear off over time by adjusting the height.
I like it, but in insight, I would have payed 40$ more to get the quick lock chair.

I bought this seat (throne) several months ago at L & McQ to serve as a drummer's throne. The product is very well made, solid steel, with padded seat & backrest, both of which are completely adjustable to different heights. It holds my 230-pound body with absolutely no shaking, traveling, or twisting whatsoever. It is a wonderful back-saver, which I need. Because it has a flip-up foot rest, I would say it is probably ideally built for a guitarist, but it suits my purpose wonderfully. I can access my bass pedal, hi-hats, and all drums with no problems.
