I’ve bought round wound and flat wound strings at double the price for my ES style guitars (Gibson, Godin and Ibanez) and I have to say that these Rotosounds really are very nice. They aren’t as slick and smooth as other brands but I like that. I’ve pretty well switched from the US brands to there British strings and saved money. They have great clarity and more bite than traditional jazz strings but aren’t shrill on the top end.
