Like our single reeds, Lgre bassoon reeds have all the depth and warmth that elite players demand. Because they are made from our specially prepared synthetic material, the deliver all the advantages of a traditional Lgre reed: consistency, durability and an instant response.

I've been playing on these reeds for 8 years now and I'm never going back to cane. No more spending hours making reeds, no more need to soak them before you play, no more inconsistent reeds depending on the weather. This read is of superior quality and tone.

I would definitely recommend the soft model over the medium (I find it too resistant), but the sound quality is incredible and it has a huge dynamic range. They are a bit finicky, so make sure you do the reading, but they are really easy to use if you know how to maintain them (I've been using mine for just about a year now).
