It is the brightest light I've tried, and since I'm 53 years old, i need all the light I can get. I play bass and cello in several groups and they are all in awe of it. The light fastens securely to music stands and gives plenty of room to turn pages, even tall orchestra parts. (The person that said they couldn't turn pages was using it on a piano with a short music desk. It's not designed for that.) It holds a charge for over 3 hours on full brightness, and if I'm doing a rehearsal and concert together, reducing the light just a little probably triples the battery life.

Product arrived unscathed through online order. Followed instructions about charging for 14 hours, but the charging indicator light didn't come on at all. The instructions state that if the indicator light doesn't come on, it is fully charged. Excited to try it, I popped it onto my Grand Piano's music stand, and turned the dial to find that it doesn't work at all on battery power. I plugged it back in and found that if I turn it on while plugged in, it rains a nice bright light down from it. I thought about maybe returning and buying one that doesn't rely on battery, but I can't even turn a page in a book without catching the paper on this light. If the product would just sit an inch higher, I could have gone for a replacement, but sadly, even if it didn't show up DOA, I can't even turn pages without wrestling with things...poorly thought out in my opinion. Aside from not working, and not being high enough to make page turns possible, it does cascade a nice amount of light, and the dimmability would have been nice to enjoy as well...sad!

This light is great and way exceeded my expectations. First of all, it's bright, really bright. I' tried a couple of the Mighty Bright (not so much) lights, but have been looking for something that competes with a bulb. To my surprise, this light is brighter than my Klip-Lite and is rechargeable too. It's also solidly built and feels like it will last a long time. Finally, I love having the dimmer so I can save battery power or set the mood. If I had to pick on one thing, this light is heavier than others and doesn't fold, so it's a good idea to get the carrying bag they make, too.
