DR's Quantum-Nickel alloy offers players a smoother feeling bass string with deep low end, enhanced mids, tons of punch and bright, clear highs. Hand wound on round cores, Pure Blues bass strings combine a fat, warm punch with an edge especially designed for the modern bassist. Pure Blues strings provide more output, more power, and more top end clank than traditional nickel wrapped bass strings.
DR's Pure Blues bass strings are now available in sets for 4-, 5- and 6-string basses. Pure Blues sets are offered in Light (PB-40), Medium Light (PB-45/100), Medium (PB-45) and Heavy (PB-50) gauges for 4 string basses. Medium gauge 5 (PB5-45) and 6 (PB6-30) string packs are also available.

The DR Pure Blues bass strings are much discussed in online forums and leave no one indifferent. They are particular. Soft nickel strings with the brightness of steel strings but without the zinginess. Especially musical and melodic. They are a bit more expensive than others in this range but worth it, a must try for sure, the only ones for me from now on.
