NYXL1046BT is a Balanced Tension set designed for greater dynamic control and a more consistent feel between strings for evenly balanced bending, strumming, fretting,and picking.

They feel awesome. Balanced tension is pretty rad. They break in really fast when new too, which is really nice - like a few minutes of playing and they were solid. Super stoked on these.

I absolutely swear by these strings. I run them on a Suhr Satin Modern, and a PRS Custom 24 tuned to Eb, occasionally in drop C#. Bends are so very smooth, no spongey-ness in the B string, since it is a 13.5. A (.034) and D (.025) strings are compensated to give more even tension from string to string, which I feel makes right hand technique easier when fast picking between strings, and strumming chords. The string content allows a clearer, more open tone on any instrument. Kind of like going from a Sony stereo to a hifi system. Lifespan is increased over regular EXL's. I have had my strings on for almost 2 months and they still sound amazing and stay in tune. Everything is improved. highly recommend

I've tried many brands before becoming a D'Addario user. They have really upped their game with the new NYXL strings. These string resonate better, have a warmer sound and most importantly STAY IN TUNE
