Extremely detailed, excellent separation and transient response. I went from SE215's to these so obviously the cost is almost triple but you immediately hear the difference. They don't isolate as much as I was hoping, but that's probably because I haven't tried any different tips yet. For universal fit IEM's I can't image anything better. Got them on sale but would pay regular price to replace them if needed. Case is similar to a mini pelican which ensure these things will go unscathed on tour, but it would be nice if they included a soft pouch for monitor engineers to hang of our lanyards. Overall extremely pleased.

First, keep in mind these are not meant to be audiophile monitor headphones... the purpose here is to provide great in-ear stage monitoring. Having said that, the sound of these IEMs is amazing! They are a little darker sounding than perhaps some people would like in a listening headphone, but not overly so... just slightly weighted toward mid and low... and that is EXACTLY what you need in an in-ear stage monitor. The lows are quick and punchy and deep to overcome the ambient stage noise (lows are primarily where that becomes an issue with stage bleed for an IEM.) The highs are there and well-detailed, but a little more subdued... perfect to prevent listener fatigue through a long gig. Any more highs and they wouldn't work for this purpose. The mids are where these should, and do, shine... precise, detailed and punchy in the mix, it allows vocals and instruments to pop through the clutter and be heard. You may think they're a bit pricey, but they compare very favourably to the more expensive Shure SE535. Spend an extra few bucks to have your local hearing aid company make proper custom moulds for your ears and these will give you all you need! As a bonus, Shure ear tips and Shure cables will fit these IEM's as well so if you're upgrading from cheaper Shures (like I was) you'll have some interchangeable spares!
